This beautiful figurine comes from the comic illustration of the poster Hergé created for the 1979 exhibition “Le musée imaginaire de Tintin” and represents Captain Haddock visiting a gallery dedicated to the universe of Tintin. The figurine is sculpted in resin, carefully painted by hand and comes in a sturdy box with a certificate of authenticity. This figurine was also produced in a numbered edition.

In June 1979, a major exhibition, which would later be organized in other locations, was inaugurated at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels. Hergé was not aware of the full catalog, but the exhibition organizers explained to him that the aim was to compare the legendary artifacts that Tintin had collected during his adventures with the real objects that had inspired Hergé. Hergé created the poster for the exhibition, drawing his main characters in the middle of an imaginary setting that many a Tintin fan and collector could only dream of. ” Excerpt from Chronologie d'une œuvre - Volume 7 ”written by Philippe Goddin.
